.) The "metro" that Pound describes is the apparition of faces. The metro is underground like a subway
.) The feelings the poem communicates to me are feelings of depression, sadness, and somewhat a worthless type of feeling. The poem makes me feel numb at the end after reading it, especially after using the words "petals" and "bough."
.) I believe the poem describes how humanity doesn't care anymore. The poem describes a scene and the time passing at a metro. People go and time passes and each person lives their individual lives. Pound relates public transportation to humanity. Public transportation is everywhere and free and so is humanity. The crowds and metros are careless and so is humanity.
.) The tired sweaty faces at the stop
Hungry baby birds waiting for the worm.
